Niger Delta Youth Leaders Warn Against Planned Smear Campaigns Aimed at National Security Figures, Affirming Their Continued Support for National Security Initiatives.

The Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) has expressed deep concern over reports of an impending smear campaign targeting key figures in Nigeria’s national security framework. The campaign, allegedly orchestrated by unnamed groups, aims to discredit the National Security Adviser, the Minister of State for Defence, and the Nigerian Police.

The NDYC views this as a calculated effort to distract the current administration and undermine the accomplishments of security agencies in maintaining national peace.

Condemning the planned campaign, the NDYC emphasized the need to recognize and support the dedicated work of the security agencies. The organization praised the commitment of the National Security Adviser and other security operatives in safeguarding Nigeria’s sovereignty and ensuring the safety of its citizens.

The NDYC warned against any actions that might harm national unity or disrupt the country’s progress in security matters.

The NDYC also urged Nigerians to remain alert and resist the influence of such divisive campaigns. The organization reiterated its full support for the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability in the country, encouraging citizens to focus on collective national interests rather than be swayed by those seeking to create discord.
